A crew of burglars smashed a stolen car into two Mobile convenience stores Tuesday, taking an ATM from one store and attempted to steal an ATM from the other, police said.
The crimes were similar to one earlier this month in which burglars drove a stolen truck through a store's front doors and made off with an ATM.
Officer Christopher Levy, a police spokesman, said detectives were looking at the possibility that the Tuesday cases and the earlier case were connected. |

| Pittsburgh Naval ROTC, housed in a Carnegie Mellon University building along Forbes Ave got a couple windows smashed and tagged Sunday night. It wasn't much, but this is how we practice.
CMU is the largest receiver of Department of Defense contracts in the country for any university, or something outrageous like that. Their robotics lab produces automatic killing machines, the Mellon Institute (smashed during the G20) tortures monkeys in animal vivisection tests, and they now understand that their property isn't safe as long as it is facilitating murderous, imperialist activities like the ROTC. Especially along Forbes Ave, where thousands of riot police beat, gassed, humiliated, and arrested hundreds of folks during the G20.
Tuition should not have to be paid for by indenturing loans and military bribes to students. It should be abolished. |

The olympic torch is in town. Last night, in celebration, we attacked 2 Royal Banks in Montreal. RBC is a sponsor of the 2010 Olympic Games, and these games are a gross display of capitalism, colonialism, displacement, repression and overall bad taste. We did this miniscule thing in solidarity with comrades on the West Coast of this vast occupied island. Fuck RBC, fuck the olympics. Let's extinguish the colonizer's flame and start some real fires!
Love,
some anarchists. |

| anonymous communique (translation from Bite Back):
"On the evening of Wednesday, December 2nd we wanted to make a gesture of solidarity with the 'international call for action for the release of activists imprisoned in the Netherlands.'
Our action consisted of putting three noise bombs in the building housing the Dutch embassy in Chile, located on Apoquindo street, in Las Condes.
One of the imprisoned comrades in the Netherlands was arrested on October 29 and the other on November 17; both are accused of releasing about 5,000 mink from a fur farm and for substantial damage to the extermination center.
With this action we take the opportunity to send them much strength and affection, because in the struggle against speciesism, they are not alone. |

Hackers are spreading a computer virus by sending out emails urging people to visit a fake website offering vaccines for the swine flu.
Researchers from security firms Symantec Corp and AppRiver said, "The email purports to be from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control, directing them to what looks like an official government website to fill out a vaccination form."
Researchers said on Tuesday they began seeing millions of spam emails as part of a plan to infect computers with this vicious virus. |

DELTONA -- The Volusia County Sheriff's Office is investigating overnight vandalism that damaged a deputy's patrol car and left his home with bullet holes, a sheriff's official said.
Deputy Justin Martir, 22, found his car shot up and vandalized with landscaping bricks Tuesday morning, a sheriff's report states.
It's not clear whether Martir was targeted, sheriff's spokesman Gary Davidson said.
"Until we find the person or people responsible for this incident, it's impossible to speculate on a possible motive or reason why a deputy's home was targeted," Davidson said. |

“The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness, for he is truly his brother’s keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I’m The Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you.”
2009: Via social networking.
The Wall Street Journal has an interesting piece today about the newfound popularity of vengeance over the web: webtribution, they call it. Apparently, wreaking havoc on the lives of those who wronged you used to be a huge pain in the ass. It was easy to get caught and embarrassing if you were found out. But now that everyone and your mom has a Facebook account, it’s not too hard to at the very least shame the hell out someone who’s upset you, and just as easy to damage their marriage, career and social standing. |

"This was someone's dream," said Rummage.
Many of those once upon a time dreams have turned into real estate horror.
"I've grown to come to expect it," said Rummage.
When 3402 Oldfield Drive was foreclosed on its owners did not leave without leaving their mark. The house was littered with holes in the walls. |
